firstly, I got waaay to smashed last night, to the point of puking (no, no crying jags thankfully). I have got to avoid "bottomless drinks" from now on. I even got a nice couple to drive me home from downtown Decatur. Pity I can't even remember their fucking faces, and they turned down the 20 bucks I offered in thanks.

This morning was massive rehydration time, with a side of Alive to quell the little jackhammers in my skull and a great deal of front dredloc washing...I kinda hit them during my performance of The Technocolor Yawn.

I WAS going to go to one of Kasier Permanente's after hour care places to have someone look at my ear before my doc's appointment in a week, but apparently those facilities are only open in Cobb County, Gwinnet County, and Jonesboro (read: not MARTA accessible).

Damnit.

Oh well, short nap time, then I can think about food. Funny, this is the closest thing I get to a hangover, no matter how bad the night was before.

so this is what I angst about when I'm drunk...all the booze in the world and all the cock in the world can't fill this emtpiness inside me. But that's okay.....everybody's empty...all the so called love you claim to have is fleeting bullshit...you just have to copewith it..

and that's my new goal, coping with it....

damn, I'm a pair a big plastic frames and a cardigan from being a fucking emo kid....

Random thoughts of last night

So after a fucking stupid day at work, I just had to go out...I stalked back home and without saying a word, changed and went out to My Sister's Room. I thought it would be just the normal Retroquest night, but I was mistaken. Last night was a drag show for the tsunami victims. Okay, good cause, I'll stay (I would have loved it if they stopped harping about the poor childern--I mean it's not like there weren't any adults who lost family and homes and livehoods, what about them?)

The drag show was awesome, both boys and girls. Owen and Adam from the Court of Kings were there...I love Adam, he's so damn cute. The queens were (I know I'm spelling this wrong) Jawanna DoMe and Miss Vicious, both awesome (Ms. DoMe was poking fun at various audience memebers--including me for going from a drrty martini to PBR--hey, the unexpected cover charge ate my booze money). Though it seemed that at the end of the show Jawanna had changed into more comforable attire--namely a muscle T, shorts and a baseball cap. I didn't recognize him until the cast call. Seems that he didn't get the chance to wash off the warpaint. It was slightly jarring.

Fun times...I did have my moment of angst, but I kept sipping at my PBR until it went away, and after the show there was so much dancing that I just lost myself.

I'm getting a better handle on what's angsting me so much (thanks to [info]zamiel's virtual whapping with the common sense stick at ass in the morning--thank you sir, may I have another?). Now I just need the conjones to do something about it.

Fri: Got some well needed sleep. Nearly didn't see "Red Ryder" due to the mini-deluge. Saw "Red Ryder". Had an awkward moment that sent me straight out of the theatre and right into a slightly sprained ankle.

Sat: More good sleep. Went to Around the World. Got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a while (like, damn, we actually ALLOWED that Hose-Beast back into the house? And here I was thinking it wouldn't dare set foot in there again. At least it behaved itself.) and learn new things about people I've seen more regularly (Who got married? Pardon me while I wander into the next room to laugh like a drunk hyena) Had another awkward moment...

Sun: I rode on the back of a motorcycle for the first time EVAR! (you rock, [info]firebitch!). Got to walk into The Original Pancake House looking all Biker's Bitch and all...good times. Enjoyed the rest of the day tending to my dehydration-induced Charley Horse--damn they are a bitch and a half to deal with...

So tommorrow is Hump Day, and I think I want to get into the habit of celabrating by going out drinking somewhere. My choices for now are Kareoke Night at MSR again (just cut down on the booze, of course) and Happy Hour at either Fado or Meechan's--mmmm, Black Velvets and Snakebites (I swear, there must be a law somewhere that states that all Irish pubs must hire hot waitresses...rowr!)..decisions...decisions...

Weekend update....

Okay, My mini vacay wasn't nearly long enough....but I'm glad I got it (hell,my lead worker told me that she was surprised that I didn't take more days off..."You work too much")

In nutshell:

Wens: While technically not the start of my weekend, Kareoke at My Sister's Room was a lot of late night fun. I love a bartender with a sense of humor (I asked for an "absoluetly filthy" martini, and she simply poured olive juice into a glass and waved the vodka and vermouth over it. After the laugh, she took it back and made it correctly...but damn that was funny)

Thursday: Rough. I woke up still drunk, and am still amazed that I made it to work on time. By the time I got there, the hangover was starting, so I drowned myself in water and Alieve. Luckily I was only working four hours...sleep, gently sleep...

okay...going to work now...will finish later...

I kknow now the secret to having fun at My Sister's Room when you go alone:

Get too drunk to care and dance with everyone not paired off.

Yeah, so I missed Cake...the rain plus the lightening scared me off, but I got to see the first two acts, who rocked balls.

I'll be back to Underground Rocks...I don't know when, but definitly when Garbage and Weezer play....and I'll be back for MSR's Kareoke Nights....fun fun fun....

Now I go sleepy...Can barely keep my eyes open and stuff....\sang a rather impressive tune to the cab driver,. though....can't rememger what the songs wjere that I song, but it ended in "ZMercy Mercy Me"....Daddy and Momma would be proud...

btw, a moment of silence for the (finally!) burial of Luther Vandross...the man's music was probably cause for a lot of people's births and marriages. Personally, I can remember "Here and Now" being played at my dad's second and third weddings, and weren't I one year old at the first, I would be sure that it, or any other of his songs, was played then...
