So, Saturday I ended up going out to Adam Johnson's hatchday party. Twas cool, I got to see a couple of people that I haven't seen in years.

And I want his loft...badly. I walked in and immediatly thought, "Here is where I need to be." It's nice and tiny and nice...and expensive.

Sunday was spent as usual, in front of the compy...I only managed to listen to the One Piece theme about ten times.

Yesterday I celabrated my last huge check buy stopping by Oxford Comics (hi Jennie!) and actually bought something that not yaoi-shock! It was hard, too...they just got the third Kizuna OVA, and it called to me (1).

Yep, I got my hands on the first Decendant of Darkness manga. Yeah, I know, those who have heard of the series might say, "The fuck? Jaila, that's so teh man-sex!" but I argue that it is not. It's not even shounen-ai. Yes, the main villian (who is male) repeatedly harasses/molests the main good guys (who are also male), but he doesn't do it because he wants their sweet asses. He's doing it because he's a psychotic Evil McBadNasty, and what's a more effective way for a guy to fuck with another guy (especially one smaller than him) than to involve them in an unwanted game of gay chicken?


(1) "Jaila, I'm a relationship/love story that doesn't make you puke! Buy me..." Because of course, the only way to get me to swallow the cod liver oil spoonful of romance is to lure me in with the hot man sex (and according to the manga, really hot) "here comes the choo-choo" train

In other news, Boondock Saints is wonderful! Everyone must see it!

So I spent this morning ending my FF X-2 saga. Got the 100% completion and am very proud of myself for sticking with that goal. Normally I would have said "fuck this shit" at about around Via Infinito level 40 and settled for the common ending. The common ending was cool, the good ending was the romantic heartstring-yanking (yet pretty-I'm a sucker for good graphics) fuckery I expected, and the perfect ending add-on was kinda pointless and contained the one of the most puke-inducing line I have ever heard next to "You complete me".

So now that I've finished the game, I will allow myself to make these ( random comments and critiques ) that i've been saving up. Spoiler and Lenght Warning, of course.

Bill Mahr is coming to Atlanta tommorrow....
